This iLetter is the first in a series of monthly letters that contains issues that address the challenging economic times that we are experiencing. iLetter content will be directed at the four-step methodology (Leadership, Process & Measurement, Using Financial Statements to Manage Your Business,) that I have found to be basic to bring order and direction to uncertain business conditions.

The four-step methodology is addressed in a structured way in the CXO Forum which is a day long session with a small group of your peers who also have P/L responsibility. In that setting you will score yourself against best practices in leadership, process and measurement,and the use of your financials to manage your business. An executable plan is developed at the end of the day that you will put into action.

The iLetter is an extension of the CXO Forum and will include material targeted at key issues that other companies are struggling with. Having access to this material will allow you to stay in touch with what your contemproaries are confronted with and how they are successfully dealing with complex business conditions.
